About Us
We are an optometric clinic with a difference and have an exceptional team. We give our therapists lots of planning time to prepare for their patients. All therapists have 15 minutes between patients. We have a HUGE inventory of therapy activities and a hierarchy that makes it easy to plan and track progress. The doctor spends 2.5 hours face-to-face time with patients and weekly one-on-one time with each therapist to offer support.
The Position
We are looking for a VISION THERAPIST, to do one-on-one training:
Weekly 45 minute appointments with patients (primarily children)
6 private individual therapy rooms and a large shared room
Detailed hierarchy which is easy to follow and track patient’s progress
Coworkers are fun, happy and supportive
Comprehensive VT program with thousands of activities and detailed writeups
Additionally, you would handle some**administrative duties **to assist the front desk staff: greeting patients, answering phones, responding to emails, copying, filing, miscellaneous admin and VT projects, tidying/cleaning, inventory, ordering etc.

Position: Vision Therapist
Hours: Full-time (part-time for right candidate)
Responsibilities Include
Planning vision therapy activities for patients and scoring tests
Teaching patients and providing instruction for their home vision therapy practice - will need to be able to demonstrate activities at times on the floor
Documenting progress in chart notes
Coordinating plan of care with the doctor
Organizing vision therapyequipment, procedures and handouts
Developing new vision therapyactivities
Facilitating as patient care coordinator when needed
Qualifications
Excellent and clear communications skills
Efficient and organized with detailed work ethic
Ethical decision making
Fast learner
Interest in working with all ages - especially kids and patients with special needs
Professional demeanor and style with genuine, positive and enthusiastic outlook
Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, Publisher)
Types 40 words per minute (or more)
Previous teachers, tutors, LPNs, caregivers, and childcare providers are especially encouraged to apply
